Compare UniPostudio with other social media tools

Choosing a social media tool is mostly a question of how you are charged and what you actually need. Some tools charge per user, some per channel, some per brand. UniPostudio charges one flat price per account, with brands under it.

Below is a short, honest summary of seven well-known tools, what they cost to start, and who they suit best. Each links to a fuller comparison where we have one. We say where each tool is stronger than ours, because it often is.

Starting prices at a glance

Prices are the lowest paid plan each company lists on its official pricing page. How the price scales differs a lot, so read the "per" carefully.

The seven tools in brief

  • Hootsuite: a mature platform. Standard includes AI writing, one inbox, social listening, brand and competitor monitoring, and analytics. It is priced per user, which adds up quickly for teams.
  • Buffer: simple and well liked, with a generous free plan for up to 3 channels. Paid plans are per channel; approvals are on the Team plan.
  • Sprout Social: strong enterprise reporting and inbox, with review management on Standard and above. Priced per seat; listening and premium analytics are paid add-ons.
  • Metricool: analytics-led, with unlimited history on Starter and competitor analysis for up to 100 competitors. A free plan covers one brand.
  • SocialPilot: built for agencies, with client approvals and white-label reports on Premium and above, and many accounts per plan.
  • Later: a visual planner with roots in Instagram, TikTok and influencer work, plus link in bio and user-generated content collection.
  • Publer: low per-account prices, a free plan and many post types.

Where UniPostudio fits

UniPostudio is young (launched in 2026) and deliberately narrow. It does not offer social listening or competitor benchmarking, and LinkedIn company pages are not supported yet. What it does offer is one flat price per account, all 10 channels on every plan, unlimited posts on every channel except X, and one inbox that brings in WhatsApp conversations and Google reviews.

It also ships things regional businesses ask for: occasion posters for European, Gulf and Indian holidays, a UI in 34 languages including Arabic and Urdu right to left, and prices in euro, US dollars and rupees. All ten channels are built into UniPostudio. Some open in your account as each platform completes its app review; the Channels screen shows which ones you can connect today.

How to choose

  • Count people, channels and brands first. A per-user tool can be cheap for one person and expensive for five; a per-channel tool is the reverse.
  • If you need social listening or competitor benchmarks, UniPostudio is not the right tool today. Hootsuite, Sprout Social or Metricool are.
  • If you only post to two or three channels and rarely, a free plan from Buffer, Metricool or Publer may be all you need.
  • If you run several brands or clients and want one price that covers them, compare UniPostudio’s Pro and Agency plans with SocialPilot and Metricool.
  • Trial two tools side by side on your real channels for a week. Check the inbox, the calendar and the approval flow, not just the composer.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest social media scheduler?

For very light use, a free plan is cheapest: Buffer, Metricool and Publer each offer one, with limits on channels or posts. For paid plans, Buffer and Publer start at $5 a month for one channel or account. UniPostudio starts at €9 or $9 a month for one brand on all 10 channels.

Does UniPostudio have a free plan?

No. Every new account gets a 30-day Classic trial with no card. After that you choose a paid plan; unpaid accounts can still sign in and read, and scheduled posts are held, not deleted.

Which tools charge per user and which per channel?

As of 20 October 2026, Hootsuite charges per user and Sprout Social per seat. Buffer charges per channel, and Publer per account. Metricool, SocialPilot and Later sell plans with a set number of brands, accounts or profiles. UniPostudio charges per account, with brands and seats included in the plan.

Are these comparisons fair?

We write them from each company’s official pricing page, dated, and we say where the other tool is stronger. Prices and plans change, so check their site before you decide. If you spot something out of date, email support@unipostudio.com.
