Diwali poster maker for your business

Diwali is the biggest buying season of the Indian year, and it does not start on Diwali. The gold and electronics run begins at Dhanteras; sweets and gifts carry on to Bhai Dooj. A good Diwali plan posts across the whole stretch, not one greeting on the day.

UniPostudio puts Diwali, Dhanteras and Bhai Dooj on your calendar for brands in India (Diwali also shows for the UK), reminds you when to post, and turns your brand kit into a Diwali poster in four sizes.

Diwali dates and when to post

Diwali 2026 dates from the app’s calendar, with the suggested post day
OccasionDateSuggested post day
DhanterasFriday 6 November 202630 October 2026
DiwaliSunday 8 November 202625 October 2026
Bhai DoojWednesday 11 November 20266 November 2026
Diwali 2027Friday 29 October 202715 October 2027

Dates are checked against published panchang and government lists. Regional calendars can differ by a day, so check yours before you print anything.

What to post across the festival

  • Two weeks before: announce your Diwali offer or collection, and your order deadline for gift boxes.
  • The week before Dhanteras: a reminder post for gold, silver, utensils and electronics, which is when people buy.
  • Dhanteras: opening hours and a short “Shubh Dhanteras” greeting.
  • Diwali day: a warm greeting, no hard sell. People are with family.
  • Between Diwali and Bhai Dooj: last-chance sweets and gift hampers.
  • After Bhai Dooj: a thank-you post to the customers who came in.

Diwali poster ideas by business

  • Sweet shop: the festive style with your mithai box price and the last day for pre-orders.
  • Jeweller: the minimal style for a Dhanteras coin or making-charge offer; leave room for your contact line.
  • Electronics store: the bold style with the Dhanteras deal and an EMI or exchange line in the caption.
  • Salon: book-ahead slots for the days before Diwali, in the festive or photo style.
  • Restaurant: Diwali menus, family tables and takeaway hours, with a Google Business Profile post using the Order or Book button.

Caption ideas in Hindi and other languages

Write the caption in the language your customers speak. Short ones work best on a poster post: “शुभ दीपावली! इस दिवाली हमारे साथ मनाइए।” (Happy Diwali! Celebrate this Diwali with us.) or “Happy Diwali from all of us. Gift boxes ready until 10 November.”

UniPostudio’s interface itself is available in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam as well as English, and character counting is Unicode-aware, so a Devanagari or Tamil caption is measured correctly against each channel’s limit. Support email and help docs are in English.

How to make a Diwali poster in UniPostudio

  • Open the calendar. The occasion is already on it for brands in that market, with a reminder on the suggested post day.
  • Click the occasion to open its occasion sheet, and choose a poster or a text post.
  • Pick a style (minimal, bold, festive or photo) and write your headline and offer.
  • Your brand kit is applied: brand name, logo (a light version on dark designs), brand colours and a contact line such as your website.
  • UniPostudio renders the poster in all four sizes at once.
  • Send it to the composer, write or generate a caption, adjust it per channel and schedule it.

On Google Business Profile, keep phone numbers out of the text (Google rejects them) and use the Call button instead; UniPostudio warns you before scheduling. See Google Business Profile posts.

Diwali poster sizes per channel

The four poster sizes and where each one fits
SizePixelsUse it for
Square1080×1080Instagram and Facebook feed, Telegram, Google Business Profile photo
Portrait1080×1350Instagram feed (4:5, the tallest feed shape), Pinterest, TikTok photo carousels
Story1080×1920Instagram Stories, a vertical still for TikTok photo posts
Landscape1200×628Facebook and LinkedIn link-style posts, X

Instagram does not crop the portrait size to a square, so it takes the most space in the feed. YouTube takes video only and WhatsApp is an inbox channel, so neither publishes a poster.

Frequently asked questions

When is Diwali in 2026?

Diwali is on Sunday 8 November 2026. Dhanteras is on 6 November and Bhai Dooj on 11 November. In 2027 Diwali falls on 29 October.

When should a business post for Diwali?

Start about two weeks before. UniPostudio suggests 25 October for Diwali 2026, 30 October for Dhanteras and 6 November for Bhai Dooj, with a reminder on each.

Is the Diwali poster maker free?

Occasion posters are unlimited on every plan and in the 30-day trial, no card. Classic costs ₹499 a month plus 18% GST. See pricing.

Does it create Diwali images with AI?

Only if you choose. Every poster is your brand kit (logo, colours, contact line) and your text on one of four designs. Where AI artwork is switched on, the picture behind your logo and text can be made by AI through our image provider: you describe what it should show, and your headline, logo and details are drawn on top exactly as you typed them. An AI picture costs credits; designed posters stay unlimited on every plan. Posters with AI artwork are marked as AI-generated, and labelled as such where the platform supports it, such as TikTok. You see a preview of every poster and can change the text and make it again before anything is posted. AI can also draft the caption, from your plan’s AI generations.

Can I post the same Diwali poster to Instagram, Facebook and Google?

Yes. The poster comes in four sizes, and the composer sends the right one with a caption adapted to each channel.
